Eyelash Extensions are individual strands of synthetic fibers made to replicate a natural eyelash. When applied, eyelash extensions lengthen and thicken your own natural eyelashes. The single strands are applied to each individual eyelash, one by one. With proper application, lash extensions look and feel completely natural.

No! When applied correctly by an experienced artist with professional tools, a lash extension experience is incredibly relaxing. Most lash artists put on "under eye gel pads" to prevent discomfort and aid in application.  It is important to go to a trusted Lash Artist who was certified through a reputable course as this will ensure that they are applying the correct weight and length of lashes to your natural lash.

• Avoid getting the lashes wet for the first 48 hours
• Try sleeping on your back or side, sleeping face down will ruin the lashes, Be careful!!
• Use Oil-Free or Extension safe makeup to avoid deteriorating the adhesive holding the extensions on.
• Do not rub, pull or touch your lashes. The oils in your fingers will impact the adhesive used. 
• Do not use mascara on your lashes!
• Do not use lash curlers, the extensions are already curled for you!
• To wash, apply the LBLA Lash Cleaner to a small soft brush and gently brush through your lashes to cleanse. Do not use Q-tips or cotton, as remnants will be caught in your lashes.
• Feel free to bathe or shower but refrain from submerging eyes fully under water for the first 48 hours. Avoid being in a direct stream of water or being exposed to intense steam. 

A: Most eyelash extension adhesives have a bond time of anywhere from 3-5 weeks.  However, they will only last as long as your natural lashes do.  Like all hair on the human body, your eyelashes grow in stages.  It is normal to lose 1-4 natural lashes per day which is why a fill is recommended every 2-3 weeks. Consult with your lash artist about any concerns or previous issues as there are many factors that play into your lash longevity.

A: When done correctly, lash extensions should not damage your natural lashes at all. Although your lashes will naturally fall out from time to time, it is important to use an experienced lash artist to prevent damage that can be caused by malpractice or inexperience.

A: Yes! Makeup absolutely can be worn with lash extensions. Look for oil-free formulas or extension safe eye makeup to prevent any problems. Lash extensions are a great alternative to wearing mascara daily as they provide the same effect but much better.
